Qazigund, Oct 17 (KNO): Despite facing several challenges, an 18-year-old boy from Qazigund area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district has secured 86 per cent points in the NEET examination, results of which were declared on Friday. Bilal Ahmad Mantoo son of Abdul Rashid Mantoo, a resident of Y K Qazigund qualified the coveted NEET Exam by scoring 86 percentiles. While talking with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Bilal said that it was only possible due to support of his teachers, parents and friends that he managed to secure 86 per cent points in the NEET. He said that as he belongs to a very poor family and he was not able to buy a smartphone, books and other study material. “But it was due to the support of his physics teacher at Simnania coaching centre Qazigund, few relatives and friends who provided him with everything and I was able to qualify the NEET.” Bilal said that his father is a labourer and they do not have any other source of income but still his family supported him a lot. “It was also possible for me to qualify the NEET because of the support and help of my two uncles and a friend, who provided me with books and other study material.” He said that even today, he does not have any smartphone but he was steadfast towards his goal and finally he achieved it. He also said that he wants to be a heart surgeon and will always work for the welfare of society. “Hard work and patience is the key to success and if you possess both of them you can achieve any goal. I request youth of Kashmir don't get involved in drugs and other futile exercises but get united and contribute for the welfare of the society,” Bilal said—(KNO)
